The Space Cadet Talks Surfboards in LSM

A few weeks ago I parked the rocket ship at a coffee shop and sat down with the guys from LSM. We chatted about life, love, surfboards and why unicorns have horns (but for some reason they did not include that). Well click on the photos below and check out what they wrote.

New Fun Machines

There is nothing like locking yourself in a room and creating some fun for others.
Red and Yellow, Black and White they are precious in His sight Jesus loves the little children of the world. Just like that I love all the different creations that I make as well. They where all created with a purpose and that purpose is FUN.

A Beautiful Interruption

What happens when you marry a chick that is hotter than a blow torch and sweeter than grandma's sweet tea? Well the answer is you are happy all the time because you get to make out with a hot chick who is fun to be around. But I will tell you this. It is hard to get work done when she comes around.

Well the other day I was in my shaping room working on Luis' Greenhorn when I hear giggles and laughter coming out of my lobby. It caught my attention because normally all you hear at Yearwood Surfboards is foam being mowed and the sweet sounds of Sinatra or Lionel Richie. I turn the corner and it is "The Hot One" and her lovely sister smiling at me like they had been caught takin sips of grandpas old cough medicine. They then told me they where taking photos for their Fashion and Lifestyle blog called Pretty Pleased Blog.com.

So I hung out and enjoyed my beautiful interruption then went back to shaping.

Dont worry Luis I did not let her get to close.

Not just a girls hair cut.

"The BoB" Some chicks like to wear the bob as a stylish hair cut but the guys up at Freedom Surf in VA like to surf the BoB. I will be delivering these to them. This is a tribute to Bob Simmons. He tought us everything we know about the fish.

John Cherry is the Man!!!

Thank You John Cherry!
My dear friend John Cherry sent me a box that I opened as soon as I got in town at 1 am. Inside was this beautiful art fin of the fin that we came up with together for my DReam Machine. Even when John's fins are not framed they are pieces of art and a big reason why my boards work the way they do. Thanks John you are the man!!!

Yearwood & Friends Art Show

This was such a fun night. We took all the clothes out of Hallelu and turned it into an art Gallery. Thanks for everyone who showed up.

Here are some of the boards that I did for the show.

This next board was one of my favorites. It is a stringerless Simmons. I had everyone from Profesional Artists to pro surfers to the Kid who sits next to me at church and draws monsters paint on it.

Back Yard BBQ

The Surf Artisan Show.
This was a great day and a great way to collaborate with some of my favorite artists Ben Keys and Travis Weller. I gave each of them a board to paint and let them go off. The Show benefitted Surfers Healing an organization that takes kids with Autism surfing. We had a blast with our back yard bbq.

Before the show and before we hung the art on the clothes lines.
Something for everyone.
